Coaching Businesses are all about coaches helping their clients to become more aware of their problems, which in turn will help them realize their dreams and goals.
Whilst a lot of coaches find their clients are totally focused during their one-to-one sessions, it’s often the case that the clients lose this degree of focus in the time spent in between the sessions.
So What To Do About This Lack of Focus?
One way to keep your clients focused during the time in between coaching sessions is to offer on-going support material, you may even have been given some useful exercises to use while you were at coaching school or college. But it’s often the case that your clients will need more than just these exercises to help them find solutions to their problems.
Remember, people learn in different ways and paper exercises just don’t always meet the needs of many learners. If you are already running a coaching business then perhaps you are already aware of the three different learning styles:

Once you are aware of how they prefer to learn, then you are in a much better position to help them meet their needs, for example:
For a visual learner you can prepare a simple set of powerpoint slides or images for greater impact
For an auditory learner you can record the exercises onto an audio MP3 file
For a dynamic learner you can ask them to create a ‘vision board’ of what they think their ideal life looks like
By meeting your clients’ individual learning style in your coaching business you’ll find the information you offer will have a greater impact and ultimately help them reach a successful end result.

Sometimes we’re exposed to so much misinformation that we end up believing things that just aren’t true.
For example, you may be under the impression that it’s difficult to start a blog for your business. Or you may have read somewhere or other that you need advanced computer skills to start blogging.
Let me explain the different blogging programs to you and sort out a few facts from fiction.
Basically, there are three different types of blogging software.
1. Free Blogs
This is normally offered by large software organizations and whilst it may seem like a good deal and very appealing, it’s worth pointing out a couple of drawbacks.
Free blogging programs have been known to close accounts with little or no warning. Imagine spending weeks, if not months, building your business blog, adding your valuable content then one day you try to log in… and it’s gone. Very frustrating to say the least, it’ll take time and a lot of effort to replace all your valuable content. Unfortunately, this has happened to many small business owners mainly because they haven’t informed themselves of the terms and conditions which can often prohibit commercial usage.
2. Open Source Blogs

If you are a small business owner you need to feel secure that the terms and conditions of your business blog allows for commercial usage. Trading on the internet means adhering to certain regulations.
Privately hosted blog software companies have created ‘user friendly’ interface programs specifically for commercial users. Costs of hosting can work out to be just a few cents a day. This is a great advantage for new businesses owners who often struggle with costs and overheads in the first few critical months of trading.
Using privately hosted blogging software gives you complete control over your blog and more importantly, there is no fear of being closed down or having to take care of the security issues.

Make sure you change your allocated password if you have a WordPress blog.

Always go to the source for any themes and plug-ins, don’t use any that have been sitting around on your hard drive for sometime – they can have security leaks.

Always make a back-up of your website or your blogs so you can at least reinstate an older version and not lose all your content.
