Hello, my name’s Irene Houston and I’m an award-winning Online Marketing Coach & Trainer based in Hertfordshire in the UK.
Even though I’ve been using online technology for over a decade… believe me, I still remember what it was like to struggle with all the techie jargon and then feel really stupid when I couldn’t work out how to use computer programs.
Having to Learn the HARD Way…
But I learnt the hard way, because at the time I had a great life as a Flight Attendant for British Airways and United Airlines but a back injury meant I would have to leave the airline world prematurely… so I had to find a new career… FAST!
However, I soon realised if I wanted an independent lifestyle (and be my own boss), work from home – or anywhere in the world for that matter, whenever I wanted and become financially secure – then I would need to learn technology.
So, I bought myself a laptop, and during my airline stop-over days I spent hours and weeks learning all I could about technology.
When I left the airline world I retrained as a Career Guidance Practitioner and Myers Briggs Personality Trainer, then helped hundreds of clients make the transition from the corporate world to turn their life around and follow their dream of running their own business.
Award-Winning Coach & Trainer…
I started my own training and consultancy business, Potential2 Go Ltd, in 2004 and collaborated on three projects which won the UK’s prestigious Institute of Career Guidance awards.
But… when I wanted to put my business online in Autumn 2008 I just didn’t realise how much I still had to learn about eMarketing - and worse still, how much I’d struggle to find the information I needed in the same place at a fair price.
Like before, it took me hours, weeks and months to learn all about marketing my business online and I don’t mind sharing with you that I’ve literally spent a small fortune on eBooks, Training Courses, Mentoring Programs, computer software programs to learn how the system works and how to fit all the pieces of the ‘internet marketing’ puzzle together.
